Cheetah Print

Very much so recently, I have been absolutely obsessed with Cheetah Print! What brought on this recent adoration, i'm not sure. Quite possibly it's the lyric from Arctic Monkey song, "That's magic in a cheetah print coat." To me Cheetah print is one of those prints that is a complete confidence boost. Whether it be jackets, tops,or shoes- I love it!

This is a "night out" option for a Cheetah print coat.
Paired with a leather skirt and chelsea boots-
you'll be looking fab in no time xx

For a "day out" option, I went with something more casual:
A tee and jeans paired with flats!
Can't go wrong xx

Although cheetah print is a far cry from subtle there are ways
to blend it in to an outfit without being too much.
These cheetah wellies are super cute and fierce!

Style Icons

Recently, I read Alexa Chung's new book It. Unlike most style icon books Alexa's isn't a how-to on how to copy her style, but more of an extensive look of people and things she finds inspiration in. After finishing the book in about 2 hours (because I couldn't put it down!) I started thinking about the things and people who inspire me! Naturally, I find inspiration in a lot of different people. Whether it be on the street, on the internet browsing through tumblr, or some mystery muse floating around my head. But there are certainly people who stick, who pop in my brain, who I try to channel essence and style. Here's a list of those people (in no particular order):

Alexa Chung

Well, duh! Alexa is probably my main style icon. Her boyish and young style is something that not many teens don't dream to have, I reckon. She always seems so effortless, like she just woke up and accidentally put on the perfect outfit. sigh.

The Cast of Heathers (esp Veronica)

Heathers is probably one of my favorite films at the moment and I can't tell whether it's the excitable yet morbid plot that gets me or the ahhhmazing clothes. 80's and 90's fashion are extremely heavy influencers of my style. The costume design for this film is great and the color themes are absolutely brilliant. Oversized outerwear, scrunchies, leather jackets and lots of black i.e Heaven.

Harry Styles

Yep, you read correctly.
Harry Styles, everybody!
Whether it be the heavy jackets, hats, and layers that get me I will never know. Maybe it's the pairing of running trainers and skinny jeans, maybe it's the RayBan sunnies and head scarves, maybe it's the way he walked (sorry).
Regardless of the reason, his style is perfectly swoon worthy (and not just becuase he's hot). I mean, I can't be the only one who thought those Saint Laurent glitter black leather boots were perfect, right?!

Danielle Bernstien

I don't even think I would be able to consider myself a style blogger if I didn't adore Danielle B.
If it weren't for her I would never have a deep admiration for pointed loafers or tartan pants, and where would I be without those things: dead, basically.
She adds a very refined, clean, and mature sort of inpiration to my list and I am very happy with that.

Eleanor Calder

Eleanor Calder's style is very over looked to most, but to the other 90% of sane people, she is- in short and rightly said- a style icon. To be very honest, I don't even think I would have any interest in fashion if it weren't for this very special girl. I remember seeing photos of her from the Topshop fashion show and just being completely in awe of her beauty and her clothes! She puts a casual and girly addition to my inspiration when I pick out my outfits.
This outfit, to me, is timeless.

Mary-Kate and Ashley

Does this even need an explanation?
Perfection.

Rachel Green from Friends

Growing up, I lived on Friends. My mom (and every other person from 1994-2004) was in love with the show and I constantly got in trouble for peeping in on her show time. My favorite girl character had to be Rachel
What can I say?
Overalls and killer hair.
(might I make a quick note that Pheobe is also killen it in the second picture)

 Matty Healy

Oddly enough, I think of Matt Healy a lot when I get dressed (not in that way).
That is because of two major factors: black and drapey.
I love his adoration for the color black, expensive leather, and chunky lace boots.
I take "dressed in black, head to toe" to a whole other level because of this beautiful man.

Cher from Clueless

Tartan, colors, and blazers are Cher's specialty.
Although my clothes could never be that colorful and bright, Cher makes my list for the sheer brilliance of matching patterns and prints.

The Female Neighbor in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

Although she was only on screen for about .5 seconds, she completely caught my eye and I creepily think about how awesome her sunglasses and coats are (a lot).

  Christina from Trop Rouge

A very under rated style blogger, in my opinion.
Without her, my head would be very cold because when it comes to hats she is basically a god.
Completely street style with a little edge and amazing hair, she wraps up the list!

If you read all the way to the bottom, I love you.
